Duchess to host AFNCCF at Kensington Palace Gala

HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, will attend the 2017 Gala Dinner for The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families (AFNCCF), held in The Orangery at Kensington Palace.

During the Gala, our Patron and invited guests will hear more about the work of the AFNCCF and in particular receive an update on the new Anna Freud Centre which is currently under construction on Rodney Street near King's Cross Station.

Her Royal Highness will also meet with some of the charity’s service users, including families who have benefited from the work of the organisation.

Earlier this year Her Royal Highness visited the Centre's Early Years Parenting Unit to learn more about their work with families who have children under five years old.

She also previously visited the Family School where she spoke with children, parents and staff at the pioneering centre for alternative provision education.

These visits marked The Duchess' continued desire to draw attention to child mental health issues and the importance that early intervention, and working with the whole family, can make to those in vulnerable situations.
