National Centre For Family Hubs: Supporting families in contact with the criminal justice system
Join this webinar to explore the role of family hubs in supporting families in the criminal justice system, with a focus on accessibility and outcomes.
About this webinar
Join us for an insightful webinar focused on the evolving landscape of family hubs. Discover the collaborative efforts towards a unified outcomes framework, aimed at supporting families in contact with the criminal justice system.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the draft framework and explore its implications. This session aims to foster a relational practice approach among professionals, enhancing support for families and mitigating intergenerational trauma.
The Family Hubs and Start for Life programme guide sets the expectation that family hubs should be made accessible for vulnerable and seldom-heard groups. Page 9 of the model framework states that “accessibility of family hub services across protected characteristics, as well as vulnerable and seldom-heard groups, is assessed and strategies are developed to improve accessibility”.
Parental imprisonment is an adverse childhood experience (ACE), that can adversely affect children’s physical, social and mental health and lead to poorer educational outcomes.
This webinar will explore the role of family hubs in multiagency working and supporting families in contact with the criminal justice system.
