Dr Lasana Harris

Dr. Harris teaches an undergraduate module on the Science of Bias in FBS at UCL, as well as a Moral Cognition module in the MSc. Social Cognition course at UCL. He has extensive experience teaching in the Netherlands, the United States, and the United Kingdom on topics such as Research Methods, Statistics, Negotiation, and Emotion.

Dr. Harris is a social neuroscience researcher who uses an interdisciplinary approach to understand human behaviour. His research explores the neural correlates of person perception, prejudice, dehumanization, anthropomorphism, social learning, social emotions, empathy, and punishment. This research addresses questions such as: How do we see people as less than human, and non-human objects as human beings? How do we modulate affective responses to people? How do we decide right from wrong?
