Vicki has been involved in teaching for courses at UCL and other HEIs for many years, particularly in relation to child CBT. She was centrally involved in the development of the CBT aspect of the curriculum within the Educational Psychology Group; and with colleagues set up and was programme director for the UCL/AFC Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma/MSc in CBT for Children and Young People. She was involved in the development of the UCL/KCL CYP-IAPT courses and is currently programme director for CWP at UCL/AFC. She is a member of the Workforce Development Strategy Group for London and the South East and the CWP National Implementation Group, liaising with HEIs and workforce development teams across the country to support the implementation of the CWP project.
Vicki was external examiner for the MSc in Psychological Therapies at the University of Edinburgh; and an associate editor of the BABCP online journal The Cognitive Behaviour Therapist for several years.
Vicki is currently undertaking a research project looking at understandings of child anxiety and help-seeking in Turkish-speaking parents in the U.K.
Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist, Vicki has worked for the NHS for nearly 25 years as part of Islington CAMHS. She has worked in many areas of the service, including inpatient, adolescent outreach, schools, social care and community CAMHS; both as a clinician and undertaking service development. She is currently professional lead for psychology and CBT, and a manager of the CAMHS Therapies Team.
Vicki has provided training and consultation for mental health and other professionals in CBTCYP for CAMHS, social care and education services across the UK and in Europe. She co-developed the CBTCYP session competency framework (Curry, Fuggle and Dunsmuir, 2013), which is used on several training courses across the UK.
Vicki is a BABCP accredited CBT therapist, and was an integral member of the committee of the BABCP Child and Family Special Interest Group for many years.
