The Centre hits the catwalk in St Andrews

Our Fundraising Manager Jenny Ricketts and Fundraising Assistant Jessica Brennan traveled to St Andrews last weekend to represent the Centre at the eagerly anticipated St Andrews Charity Fashion show (FS) in February.

The Centre was delighted to be chosen as the partner charity for FS, the largest and most successful student run event in the UK which has been featured in British Vogue and Tatler. The annual show is in its 26th year and has raised £500,000 for charity since its inception.

Jenny and Jessica joined members of the Committee, corporate sponsors, and designers for a reception prior to the show where Jenny spoke to the guests about the Centre's transformational work with children and families.

They then joined over 2000 excited students for the main event! The models strutted their stuff down the catwalk with a brief interlude for a lively auction. The show went off without a hitch and our team were incredibly impressed with the professionalism and dedication shown by everyone involved.

The partnership will continue as FS Committee member Noora Sharara will be running the London Marathon in April on behalf of the Centre. If you would like to support Noora, then please visit her fundraising page.

Jenny Ricketts said,

"The student population is particularly vulnerable to mental ill health, with an NUS survey finding that eight of ten students had experienced mental health issues in the preceding year. With that in mind, we are delighted that the students of St Andrews have shown such incredible support for our work to improve children and young people's mental wellbeing.

The success of the event was a testament to the Committee's commitment and passion. We were delighted to be able to witness the culmination of their hard work and raise awareness of the importance of childhood emotional wellbeing."
