Great teachers, engaging and covered range of relevant content. Good mix between didactic teaching and discussion.
Dynamic Interpersonal Training (DIT) Refresher
This one-day refresher training is designed for qualified DIT practitioners who want to revisit and strengthen their skills.
About this training
This one-day refresher training is for those who have completed either the original 5-day or 20-day Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) training and assumes a broad understanding of the DIT model.
While the day will not include role plays, it will feature clinical examples to bring the work to life and illustrate aspects of the model. Participants are encouraged to share their own clinical experiences, including goodbye letters and IPAFs they have found challenging.
Aims of this training
The refresher training aims to:
refresh participants' understanding of the key concepts and clinical stages of the DIT model
review teaching materials and videos, and introduce updated course content
provide space to discuss participants’ own clinical experiences and challenges
build on participants’ prior knowledge of the DIT model.
Who is this training for?
This training is for qualified DIT practitioners who would like to refresh their skills. It is also suitable for those who have completed the 5-day or 20-day DIT training but have not gone on to supervised practice, not completed their case study, or not had formal supervision of their DIT work and have since stopped using it in their NHS Talking Therapies practice.
The DIT Refresher training is also suitable for those who are currently undergoing DIT practitioner training via the 5-Day or 20-Day training routes, but have been delayed in their progress and are in need a refresher.
The training builds on prior knowledge of the DIT model. It is a requirement for practitioners who have not started supervised DIT practice within six months of completing their training and need to refresh their knowledge of the model.
It is optional for anyone currently working within the DIT model who would like to revisit the core concepts.

A very good way to pull me back to some of the basics while also thinking more widely about things I had not considered.
Participant, 2026 -
A good refresher, non judgemental, stimulating and challenging at times.
Participant, 2026 -
I thought the presenters were fabulous and engaging. I didn't look at the clock once. The content was relevant, the topics were informative and aligned with themes present in NHS settings.
Participant, 2026 -
All of the content and experience was excellent, and relevant. I particularly enjoyed connecting with other people who use the model, as I am the only one in my organisation.
