Interpersonal Psychotherapy Training (IPT) - Supervising the Supervisor

About this training

This four-day training will guide participants through the supervisor’s role in selecting candidates for advanced practice and supervisor training, conducting advanced practice supervision with training pairs and rating competence against the supervisor competency framework. The training will involve a combination of didactic teaching, case examples for small group discussion and role play.

Aims of this training

• To inform supervisors in selecting candidates for advanced practice and supervisor training.

• To develop participants’ supervisory skills to support advance practice training.

• To inform and develop participants’ skills to be able to supervise trainees to completion of supervisor accreditation.

Who should attend?

This training is suitable for IPT and IPT-A supervisors who have completed accreditation level supervision with at least two practitioner trainees.
