Webinar: An Introduction to AMBIT and Mentalization
Join our free, one-hour webinar to find out more about Adaptive Mentalization Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT), Mentalization and the various training options available.
About this webinar
This free, 1-hour webinar will introduce the concept of Adaptive Mentalization Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT).
AMBIT is a framework designed to create more effective systems of care around people who have multiple needs. It has been developed over the last 15 years right here at Anna Freud. AMBIT is designed for workers across various organisations, roles and settings and is often, although not exclusively, applied in settings where workers support people in crises and work in high-stress situations.
This is an opportunity to hear about AMBIT and meet others working in similar contexts, who often face similar challenges when working under pressure to support people in difficult circumstances, where the level of need might be high.
We have trained – and AMBIT has been successfully implemented by - a wide range of professionals who support clients with multiple needs. It is often used as a shared approach in order to better integrate multi-disciplinary teams and networks.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of professional groups that have been trained in AMBIT:
youth workers
residential workers
peer support workers
social workers and family support workers
early help workers
mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, family therapists, health care assistants)
youth justice workers and probation officers
During the webinar, there will opportunities to ask questions, connect and find out more about our range of training options.
Aims of this webinar
to provide an introductory overview of the theory of Mentalization
to introduce the AMBIT approach and provide examples of how this may be applied to case work
to stimulate conversation around how this approach can be tailored to your team or service.
