About this training
This full day National Autism Trainer Programme (NATP) specialist refresher day will focus on family centred approaches when working with autistic children and young people and adults. This will be a repeat of the Family Centred Approaches Specialist Refresher Day that we ran in December 2023 and will include topics such as:
Trauma informed approaches when working with the whole family
Intersectionality and family work
Siblings’ perspectives
Developing inclusive, co-produced, multi-element support plans based on low arousal
Who is this training for?
Anyone who has completed NATP on any stream
Anyone currently enrolled on NATP
Anyone intending to enrol on the four-day NATP training in the future
Staff working in NHS England commissioned:
Mental health inpatient settings
Crisis teams
CAMHS and Adult community mental health
Residential special schools and colleges
Health and justice settings
