One of the most important things about getting support for mental health is understanding exactly what help you’re getting and why so that you can have a say.

Later this year, we are publishing our new Understanding Treatments pages. These pages will provide a comprehensive guide to help young people understand mental health.

You will be able to select a diagnosis – say for anxiety – and then break it down by how severe it is and your age, and then you will be able to see what the evidence says may be the best treatment for you.

You will be able to read about what each treatment is and what may be expected from you should you choose that course of treatment.

And most importantly, you will be able to gather enough information to feel empowered to talk about your treatment options with your therapist, parents or carers to make the right choice for you.
