What is the Link Programme?

The Link Programme is an established national initiative to support children's mental health, which is now in it's sixth year. It is delivered by the Anna Freud Centre, funded by the Department for Education, and supported by NHS England and strategic leaders from local authorities, education departments, and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. The programme is delivered fully online and has been adapted for the 2021/2022 academic year to provide greater flexibility to respond to local needs.

The aim of the programme is simple: to bring together local leaders in education and mental health to identify the support required by children and young people in their area, so they get the help they need, when they need it.
