Building Students' Digital Resilience
Working alongside young people to understand, navigate, and manage the emotional impact of the digital world.
About this training
At Anna Freud, we recognise that time spent online can have a significantly positive or negative impact on self-esteem, emotions and wellbeing. For staff working in schools and colleges, it can be difficult to keep knowledge up to date and to manage problems arising from their students’ lives online.
On this course we will help you to understand what staff in schools and colleges can do to help keep young people safe online. We explore both the role of curriculum and of working in partnership with parents and carers, as well how peer support may work in your setting.
We will suggest and discuss a range of strategies and resources that can be used to build up trust with young people, encourage healthy discussion and ensure appropriate responses.
This course does not rely on participants having any advanced technological understanding.
