UKTC Insight Series Webinar: How to Deliver Trauma-Focused Therapies Online and in Schools
Learn how approaches are being adapted to expand access to trauma-focused therapy for children and young people beyond traditional settings.
About this webinar
There is often a misconception that trauma-focused therapies can only be delivered in therapy rooms and standard clinical settings. In a changing world, it isn’t always possible to reach children and young people in these traditional contexts. Practitioners have had to adapt their practice. Pamela Vona and Dr Sarah Miles have been leading figures in finding ways to innovate therapies to ensure that they are true to the evidence-base and are accessible for the young people they work with.
This webinar will look at how these two experts are innovating their clinical work to school-based and online settings. Pamela will be exploring how this is done in American schools, and Dr Sarah will walk us through how PTSD treatments for young people are being effectively delivered remotely. Chaired by Consultant Clinical Psychologist David Trickey, the webinar will include plenty of time for questions and discussion.
If you can’t join live, please note that this webinar will be recorded and shared with registered delegates to access for up to 30 days.
