Lotti Newlove - Gordon Primary School

We have attempted to make small changes over the last few years embedding and sustaining the promotion of mental health and wellbeing in our school.

Embedding and sustaining the promotion of mental health and wellbeing

We used the AcSeed framework to help us work towards a policy and consolidate some of the things we already did, and to keep working towards the things we still need to improve.

The responsibilities have become gradually established as the work developed and generally the small changes have become absorbed into roles and responsibilities and general ethos of the school and everyone.

We've still got a way to go and have lots of ideas to foster improvement but to look after our own mental health and wellbeing we are mindful to make sure we pace ourselves! The Learning Mentor and Senco/Inclusion manager have worked very closely as a team to lead mental health and wellbeing in school alongside the support of the Head Teacher and Lead Teacher for PSHE.
